How to install PCSX2 and run PS2 games on your PC


In this tutorial i will guide you through on how to run PS2 games on your PC without any errors.

Firstly go to Google and search for PCSX2 emulator the first link you will see on Google is the official site.





Or Click on this link you will be redirected to the official website.


Scroll down on this website until you see PCSX2 STANDALONE INSTALLER 1.4.0 HOT.





Click on download.


How to install PCSX2 emulator


Firstly run the PCSX2 emulator you just downloaded as Administrator, click on Yes the PCSX2 program will open up.


Now tick on only this option example Microsoft Visual c++ 2015, Desktop Shortcut and Start Menu Shortcuts.




Click on next to proceed, after that click on install


After you are done installing the application run the application as administrator.


How to set up PCSX2 bios and Plugins


Firstly click on this link to download the PCSX2 bios and Plugin.


Run PCSX2 application as administrator.


You will see a pop-up like this on your screen if you just installed the PCSX2 application for the first time.




Click on next 


Note: if you have already installed a PCSX2 application on your PC before you will see this on your screen import or overwriteLet me quickly explain what import and overwrite is all about, click on import if you just installed PCSX2 application for the first time and click on overwrite if you have an existing settings of PCSX2 emulator that you still want to make use of.




Pcsx2 plugins: Leave that on default and click on next.





Bios: This is the part where you make use of the bios you just downloaded from this website. 


Click on browse and find the location you extracted the bios





Select the folder and you will see the list of the bios on your PCSX2 emulator





Scroll down and select USA v02.00 2004 console, Click on finish.






How to test if your plugins and bios are working properly


Run PCSX2 application as administrator


Click on CDVD you will see a dropdown click on No disc


Click on system you will see a dropdown click on boot CDVD full


That is all if your program display likes this that means its working properly


After you are done testing the bios and plugin change No disc to Iso.



How to run Ps2 games on your PC with PS2 emulator


Firstly create a folder and copy the game that you want to run into that folder and paste it on your desktop


Run your PCSX2 application as administrator


Click on CDVD




After clicking on CDVD you will see a dropdown on your screen, scroll down to ISO SELECTOR to BROWSE


Now search for the folder you copied your PS2 game on your desktop or any other directory





Open the folder and double click on the game to open




Now click on SYSTEM on PCSX2 emulator




After clicking on SYSTEM you will see a dropdown, click on boot CDVD (fast)
That’s all your game will be loaded properly by now.
